"But it shall come about, if you do not obey the LORD your God...the LORD will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other end of the earth" Deut. 28:15, 64 NASB

Through the prophet Moses who led them out of slavery in Egypt, God brought the descendents of Israel into a covenant with Himself, a binding legal agreement. Its terms included the Ten Commandments plus hundreds of other laws spelled out in the Torah.

If they would keep this covenant, the Jewish people would be blessed above all other nations. But, if they failed to keep these laws, they would be punished severely. The punishments are spelled out in detail in the Law of Moses.

Ultimately, if the Jews persisted in breaking God's laws, they would be uprooted from the Promised Land and deported into all the other nations:

"But it shall come about, if you do not obey the LORD your God...
the LORD will scatter you among all peoples,
from one end of the earth to the other end of the earth"
Deut. 28:15, 64 NASB

This widespread scattering of the Jews into all the nations from one end of the earth to the other end of the earth began in the years following destruction of the Temple by the armies of the Roman Empire, and persisted until the restoration of the state of Israel in 1948.

Demonic enemies of God tried to block their restoration to the Promised Land by annihilating the Jewish people. That attempt was implemented through what the Nazis called the "Final Solution" and what we today call the Holocaust. God, who sees the future, foretold this significant event though his inspired human prophets, and had those prophecies recorded in Scripture. Thus, the Bible foretold the Holocaust.
